Application forms for Adoption can be accessed from the Secretary of the Adoption Board at the Social Welfare Department, Ministry of National Mobilisation etc.
There is an Adoption Committee and a Secretary to the Board. All applications are sent to the Secretary and forwarded to the members of the Board for recommendation and approval for the adoption of the child/children. A social inquiry is conducted and a report prepared by a social worker.
The applications along with all relevant documents are then forwarded to the President of the Family Court for hearing.
